Here's something I've noticed over twenty-three years of doing this: most of the jewelry in this store leaves as a gift. Somebody buys it for somebody else. Birthdays, anniversaries, apologies, milestones.
But on this one night every year, that flips. Women come in together, with a glass in hand and no husband waiting in the car, and they buy the thing they've been walking past for eight months. It is my favorite retail phenomenon in the world and I look forward to it all year.
Tuesday, September 15th
The Chappaqua School Foundation has turned it into a proper evening out — two venues, one night, and you can float between them however you like.
5:00–8:00pm, here with us.Bellinis, something sweet, and every case open — come try on something sparkly for a wonderful cause!
7:00–9:00pm, at Le Jardin du Roi. Drinks, good bites, and everyone you've been meaning to catch up with since school started.
Tickets are $85 through the Foundation and cover the whole night, both stops.
Jenny from Rachel Reid is joining us
We've carried Rachel Reid for years, and it's become one of our best sellers for the least complicated reason: our ladies LIVE in it! All yellow gold. Charms and charm necklaces you mix and match, earrings made to be stacked. Nothing in the collection needs an occasion.
The charms are the part people get hooked on. You start with one that means something, and then there's a birthday, or a trip, or a year you want to mark — and eventually you're wearing a necklace that reads like a timeline. I've watched clients build them piece by piece over years, and I've never once seen someone stop at one.
Jenny is bringing a pop-up for the evening with far more than we keep in the case. That's the honest argument for a trunk show: you get the designer's full range at one beautiful evening!

What the night does for our schools
10% off everything in the store that evening, and 10% of the night's sales go directly to the Chappaqua School Foundation.
If you're newer to town, here's what that money does. CSF was founded in 1993 to fund the things the district budget doesn't reach. The grant ideas come from Chappaqua teachers themselves — someone in a classroom says I could do something remarkable with my students if I had this — and the Foundation funds it. Since 1993 they've raised more than $5 million and awarded over 400 grants, reaching students across all six of our schools.

If the full evening isn't possible
Some of you are coming straight from pickup with forty minutes before the next thing. I know how September works.
If the ticketed evening doesn't fit, you are welcome here between 5 and 8 without one. Come have a bellini, see what Jenny's brought, and shop the evening's promotion. Every purchase in store counts toward the donation, regardless of what you fall in love with! Twenty minutes is a perfectly good visit.
But if you can do the whole night — do the whole night. It's the good one!
